Dr. Oge Denis

Dr. Oge Denis is an esteemed educator and conscientious servant leader, currently serving as the Advisory Counsel to the CEO of BLE Enterprises. With a deep commitment to improving education structures, academic offerings, and community partnerships and initiatives, Dr. Denis provides invaluable assistance and advisory support to the CEO as the company works towards its goals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Denis has dedicated himself to empowering students, teachers, and administrators with research-based methods of instruction and strategies to close the achievement gap. His expertise in this area stems from his extensive training and experience in the field. Dr. Denis has held various impactful roles in the education sector, including Mathematics Teacher, Basketball Coach, Math Department Chair, Supervisor of Mathematics, Assistant Principal, Coordinator of School Safety and Student Affairs, and High School Principal. These positions have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape, allowing him to approach his current role with a wealth of knowledge and insights.

His educational journey includes the completion of a Doctorate degree at Saint Elizabeth’s University, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University in Atlanta, GA, a Master's degree in Education (Supervision/Administration) from St. Peter’s University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Kean University. Dr. Denis's impact on education is widely recognized and honored. Under his leadership:

 

• Heritage High School received a Silver Medal Ranking in the top 500 high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in 2008. 

• Essex County Newark Tech, where he served, was recognized as one of the Top High Schools in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report from 2011 to 2019.  

• Title One Distinguished Award for Closing the Achievement Gap in November 2013

• National Blue-Ribbon Award for Closing the Achievement Gap in November 2015. 

• New Jersey Reward School recognition in 2015, 2016, and 2017

 

In addition to his current role at BLE Enterprises, Dr. Denis operates Birchwood Educational Services and has previously served as the Director of Secondary Education at College Achieve Public Schools. His diverse experiences have allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of the education landscape and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of educational institutions.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Denis is deeply committed to his community. He actively serves as a Shepard in his community and a regular fulltime volunteer alongside his wife and children, volunteering his time and expertise to support the volunteer work in his community. His belief in giving back and empowering others to reach their full potential extends beyond the classroom and into the lives of those he touches.
